The Tang Dynasty

The Tang Dynasty came to power after the Sui fell in 618 AD. The ruler of the Tang Dynasty was Tang Taizong, he is well known for his conquest to re capture parts of china that had not been in control since in the control of china since the Han Dynasty. the next empress was Wu Zhou, the first empress and the first woman to rule this dynasty. She help a lot of power over their neighbours Korea. She improved the canal and kept road building projects throughout china going. there teknology is why they are still known today though, they traded things such as porcelain, mechanical clocks and black powder. Black powder was originally made for fireworks and traded but eventually the fast selling products led to the invention of gunpowder, the basis of modernday explosife warfare. Porcelain is a type of durable pottery, the white glow and pretty finish was a necessary luxury. The mechanical clock was powered by water and helped navigate on the seas, trade bought this breakthrough in technology all the way to the west. the tang dynasty had bureaucracy this meant that lower born people could take an exam and be educated giving them a chance to raise there class. this favoured the richer people though becuase they need some edcution to pass the exam.
Tremendous taxes caused riots to break out in 7900 AD, causing the empire to plummet. The massive amounts of land rioting and local muslim armies marching on china caused them to fall. the muslim armies later gained control of the western and northern areas. The Tang dynasty fell in 907 after 200 year of instability.
