Modern Day Indochina and Southeast Asia

The Dai Viet lived in modern Vietnam. Some of the natural resources of Vietnam today are: oil and gas from places in the ocean, coal, timber, hydropower, land that you can farm on, coal, and phosphates. The Dai Viet often used their waterways for transportation and trading, and today the waterways are important natural resources as well, like for hydropower, oil, and gas, even if the Dai Viet didn’t use them for those some reasons. Next is the Khmer Dynasty, which was located in modern day Cambodia. Today some of Cambodia’s natural resources are iron ore, oil, gas, timber, and gemstones. One of the Khmer’s main resources was stone, we know this because of Angkor Wat, it was all carved out of stone and handcrafted. Another two groups that were located in modern day Indochina or Southeast Asia are the island trading kingdoms of Sailendra and Srivijaya. These two kingdoms were located in modern day Indonesia, around the modern areas of the island of Java and the independent state of Singapore. Some of the natural resources from around this area are some metals: gold, silver, copper, tin, and nickel. Other resources of indonesia include, petroleum and natural gas.
