The Dai Viet
The Dai Viet was located on the coastal regions of Vietnam. The Dynasty started in 939 AD. And it lasted until the Tang dynasty gained control over Vietnam. The Ly Dynasty came to power in 1009 and formed their capital their capital in Hanoi. This gave the dynasty trade routes through Southeast Asia via the Red River. This caused merchants to spread Buddhism, so the Buddhism spread throughout the dynasty. The closeness to the river also caused a strong central government as well as better agriculture because of the fertile soil. The Dai Viet had there own culture though, the woman had more freedom than most traditional chinese women. They still influenced Vietnam even after the fall of the Ly Dynasty in 1225 AD .
