Modern Day Resources of North and South Korea

There were three dynasties or kingdoms that controlled over the Korean Peninsula, the Silla, the Koryu, and Choson Dynasty, also during the Koryu Dynasty, the Mongols ruled over the peninsula for a period of time. Each of these groups used the land and its resources differently. In modern day North and South Korea, some of the natural resources are: coal, graphite, copper, gold, lead, and hydropower. Also, in both modern day countries the land only has about 20% of arable land and a lot of the land is forest, having a lot of forest means that wood is probably a natural resource in Korea (CIA:The World Factbook, South and North Korea). The natural resources that some of the dynasties used were stone, bronze, wood, earthen clay, and of course the land for farming (Ancient World History: Patterns of Interaction (Chapter 12), Roger B. Beck, Linda Black, Larry S. Krieger, Phillip C. Naylor, and Dahia Ibo Shabaka).
