The Silla
When the Han ruled over the Koreas, the Korean tribes made federations which split into three kingdoms. In 650 AD, the Silla Kingdom defeated the two other kingdoms, beginning the Kingdom of Silla. Then the Silla drove the Chinese out of the Koreas, which gave the Silla complete control of the entire Korean peninsula. The Silla built Buddhist monasteries and had amazing stone and bronze sculptures. They also had a phonetic alphabet, using some Chinese characteristics and adding some other characters. Also, the Silla Dynasty is known as Korea's Golden Kingdom because of all of the gold that was used to make into goods (No Aunthor mentioned, Silla: Korea's Golden Kingdom (The Met Museum)). In 935, Wang Kong gained control of the area and became king, ending the Silla Dynasty.
